Qualités. Il a u n e faveur légèrement â c r e , une
odeur qui n’eft pas défagréable.
Ufages. La poudre de fes feuilles, ainfi que celle
4e fes graines, met les inteftins en mouvement 8c
lâche le ventre. Sa racine cuite avec d’autres herbes
emollientes dans l’huile, s’applique avec fuceès -fur
la lepre.
Remarques. M. Linné a confondu mal-à-propos ;
lous le nom àejida AJialica, le beloere du Malabar ,
avec l’anguri des Moluques, figuré par R ump h e ,
tous le nom d abiuilon hiopetum , planche X du volume
I F de fon Herbarium Amboinicum ; mais l’an-,
guri eft un arbriffeau une fois plus haut, tout hériffé
de longs poils écartés , à feuilles vifqueufes, à fleurs
plus grandes, portées fur un pédicule plus c o u r t,
& à capfule de quinze à feize loges feulement ,
tous earaéleres qui le font diftinguer facilement du
beloere.
Le beloere différé aufli de Vabutilon Indicum, figuré
par Camerarius, Hort. 3 , p l . I 9 en ce que les
feuilles de celui-ci font anguleufes, à trois lobes
& que fes capfules font rudes 8c hériffées. Il approche
