Ses feuilles font prefque deux fois allées , inclinées
dans leur partie fupérieure, 8c prennent
racine un peu au-deflbus 4e leur fommet, lorfque
leur extrémité pendante parvient jufqu’à terre.
Leurs pinnules font compofées de deux rangs de
folioles lancéolées confluentes à leur bafe, 8c
-dentelées avec une calloftté très-menue en leurs
bords. Ces folioles font plus veineüfes en deftous
qu’en deflus, & les deux lignes de leur fruélifica-
tion font contiguës à la nervure qui les travèrfe ,
& paroiflent interrompues 8c comme formées dé
points oblongs & diftinâs. Cette plante croît dans
la Virginie & à Madère, dans les fentes profondes
& pleines d’argile des rochers.
