poils courts, félon la figure & la defeription citées
du Thésaurus Zeyldnicus -, mais ce caractère varie
vraifbmblablement, puifque M. Burman dit, dans
fon F l o r a I n d i c a , que fes tiges font glabres j que
fes feuilles font ovales, denti.culées & pétiolées -,
que les bradées font fort petites -, que les verticiiles
font de petites panicules compofees de trois
fleurs pédonculées , qui naiffent d’un petit point
commun -, qu’enfin fes fleurs ont la lèvre fupérieure
de leur calice plane , en coeur, plus large 8c
réfléchie , & l’inférieure connivente, à quatre
dents aiguës. Cette plante croît dans l’Inde •, il en
exifte une variété à feuilles une fois plus grandes

Cette plante a l’afped de la Pérille , mais elle
eft plus petite j fa tige eft haute d’un pied , cylindrique
, herbacée, garnie inférieûrement de rameaux
ouverts , légèrement velue ou hilpide , &
marquée de points oblongs 8c rouffeâtres. Ses
feuilles font oppofées , pétiolées , ovales, dentees
en feie , ridées , rayées & chargées de poils. Elles
ne font point accompagnées de ftipuïes. Les fleurs
font penchées, retournées comme celles du Bajilic
commun, & difpofées en épis pédoncules 8c terminaux
, munis de bradées ovales. Leur corolle
eft-bleuâtre , de la grandeur de celle du Thym ,
ayant fa lèvre fupérieure quadrifide 8c blanchâtre ,

Sa racine pouffe une tige droite , haute d’un
pied ou un peu plus , glabre, 8c munie de quelques
rameaux courts 8c quadrangulaires. Ses feuilles
