Thouin. ( v. f ) La plante fi paroît n’en différer
que médiocrement -, elle s’élève un peu moins , a
fes rameaux redreffés , & les faifeeaux de feuilles
plus garnis. On la cultive au Jardin du Roi. Elle
n’y a point encore fleuri. ( y . v~ )
4. A sperge crépue , AJparagus crifpus. Afparagus
caule herbaceo , debili y tortuoj'o , ramis

Cette plante eft d’un verd glauque, 8c a presque
l’afpeét d’une Fumeterre. Sa tige eft herbacée
, longue, de deux pieds , menue , tortueufe ,
très-foible , un peu grimpante 8c rameufe prefque
dans toute fa longueur. Ses rameaux font courbés
en arc près de la tige , vont enfuite en montant,
font fléchis en zig-zag, comme crépues 8c filiformes.
Les feuilles font petites, linéaires , aiguës
communément géminées , 8c quelquefois trois
enfèmble. Elles n’ont que deux ou troisJignes de
longueur, Sc font quelquefois ouvertes à chaque
paire , de manière qu’elles paroiffent feules oc
oppofées l’une à l’autre. Les fleurs font folitaires ,
petites comme la tête d’une epingle, portées
chacune fur un pédoncule non articulé , long de
trois lignes, & ont un petit renflement à leur bafe.
Nous ne les avons point vu épanouies. Cette plante
eft originaire de l’Ifle de France, 8c cultivée au

quatre à fix enfemble fur - des pédoncules courts
& Amples, A l’origine des rameaux on trouve des
épines ftipulaires dont la- pointe regarde en bas.

Ses tiges font des farmens ligneux , grifeâtres , ;
noueux , rameux dans l'eur partie fupérieure , &
élevés d’environ cinq pieds. Ses rameaux font
tortueux, fléchis en zig zag^, grêles , ont une
arête ou une ligne cour ante qui les rend imparfaitement
cylindriques , & font garnis d’autres
rameaux alternes, ouverts entièrement-, ou même

; qne rameau , oft trouve un noeud partagé en trois
épines, dont celle du milieu, qui eft aiguë ,
