Cette Ajiragale eft une des plus élevées de ce
genre ; fa racine pouffe des tiges glabres, ftriées ,
feuillées , &. hautes de trois ou quatre pieds -, les
feuilles iont alternes, longues, allées avec impaire
, 8c compofées de vingt-cinq à trente-une
Folioles oblongues, émouffees 8c un peu velues.
Les fleurs l’ont petites, d’un blanc jaunâtre , pendantes
fur leurs pédoncules communs , & dii’po-
l’ées en grappes menues , droites , axillaires , &
plus longues que les feuilles qui les accompagnent.
Les fruits font de petites goufles pendantes , courtes
, ventrues, prelque triangulaires, pointues
aux deux bouts , glabres , pédiculées dans leur
calice, & qui reffemblent à de petites bourl’es. Les
deux loges dont elles font compofées fe féparent
comme li chaque gouffe étoit double. Cette plante
croît en Aile : on la cultive au Jardin du Roi. Tp-

On pourroit prelque regarder cette Ajiragale
comme une variété de celle qui précède, tant elle
lui refl’emble à bien des égards-, cependant elie
s’élève un peu moins • les folioles de fes feuilles
font plus larges 8c prelque tout-à-fait glabres 3
enfin , les fleurs font plus grandes & difpolées en
grappes droites plus courtes que les feuilles. Cette
plante eft d’ailleurs d’un port afl’ez agréable : elle
croît naturellement à la Chine -, 8c on la cultive
au Jardin du Roi. % . ( v. v. ) .

Ses tiges font hautes de douze à quinze pouces ,
droites, un peu foibles , vertes ou rougeâtres,
8c munies de poils courts , rares & couchés. Elles
font, garnies de feuilles affez grandes , compofées
de dix à douze paires de folioles oblongues., vertes
en deffus , & un peu velues en deffous. A la
bafe des feuilles, on obferve des ftipules affez larges,
membraneufes, & réunies en une game
aulieu d’être géminées à chaque nCeud. Les fleurs
font d’un blanc jaunâtre , ont leur çarène violette
à fonextrémité, 8c naiffent en épis ferrés 8c obtus,
fur des pédoncules moins longs que les feuilles ,
8c qui fortent des aiffelles fupérieures. Les bractées
ftipulaires qui fe trouvent entre les fleurs ,
font, aulli longues que les calices. Cette plante çitqîc
