cuticle is raised up, and at length splits longitudinally, and for a/ong rime

Forming little orbicular black patches, in which the perithecia are disposed
in a somewhat ooncentrio fashion; perithecia mostly simple; asci
short, oblong ; sporidia oblongo-clavate ('0005 in.) '0125 m.m. long. Mycelium
m atted, brown, producing here and there dark patches; very distinct
