Staining the wood on which it grows, for a considerable depth, of a deep
verdigris-green ; the wood so stained being employed as ‘ ‘ green oak ” in the
manufacture of Tunbridge ware. The fully developed ITelotmm is much more
rare than the green mycelioid state.
