This species is evi'’ently as oommon as H. pulicare, from which the sporidia
differ in being considerably smaller ('(lOOl-'OOOS in.) •01-'0125 m.m., with
the terminal joints coloured. Tlie sporidia in H. pulicare are '00025 in.
broad, whilst iu this species not more than '00015 in.
