g I Z E of a Lark. Upper mandible brown j under, pale fiefh-
colour : eyes blueilh : the head, throat, and fore part of the
neck, are deep red ; hind part of the neck blackilh, with a flight
mixture of white : wing coverts, back, rump, upper tail coverts,
and fcapulars, grey mixed with a few black fpots : lides of the
neck, breaft, belly, thighs, and vent, whitifh : quills black, edged
with white: tail black : legs Cinereous.
