A very pretty liardy annual, discovered in California by the
late Mr. Douglas, and originally introduced to our gardens
from seeds transmitted by him to the Horticultural Society.
The plant seems to require no particular mode of treatment,
as it is found to flower and perfect seeds freely in the open
border, and in the ordinary garden soil.
Onr drawing was taken from the collection of Messrs.
Allen and Rogers at Battersea, in June last.
