collection of our worthy friend Dr. Neill of Edinburgh, in
May last. The plant liad been received by him from Mr.
Charles Lawson, Seedsman, Edinburgh, to whom bulbs of
it liad been sent by Messrs. Henry Storm and Sons, Florists,
Haarlem, under the name which we have adopted. Its native
country was not mentioned, hut the species is most probably
American, from its near affinity to O. bipartita and divergens.
We cannot identify it with any of the species recorded by
De Candolle, or in the recent monograph of Professor Zuc-
carini, and we therefore conclude that it is an undescribed
species.
