This variety was brought from New York by Mr James
MeNab, who received it from Mr. Thomas Hogg, Nursery
man, in that city, by whom the plant was "-^ised irom seeds
of the single yellow rose, and it is known in the nmsenes
bv the name of “ Hogg’s yellow American rosm It is a
pretty variety, hut it is surpassed in the fulness of its flowers,
and 'ill richness of colouring by Williams s double yellow
rose, figured at T a b . 353 of the present volume. _
