Our draAving of this curious and Avell marked
species, was taken from a plant at the Nursery of
Messrs. Whitley, Brames, and Milne, at Fulham, who
had procured it from France; we have not heard of it
m any other collection, nor can we trace it to any
described species ; Ave have therefore published it as
new, under the name by Avhich they received i t ; it
appears to flourish well Avith them in the open border
ot the nursery, in the common garden soil, Avhere it
produced several strong flowering stems, and Avill
soon be capable of being divided ; near it, and at the
same rime, Avas flowering in great beauty, that fine
plant P . lobata, of Avhich Ave published a fieure last
year.
