orange-coloured. Style purple, thickly clothed with bristly
hairs. Stigmas 5, purple, revolute, and fimbriate on the
upper side.
Our drawing of this fine plant was taken last Summer,
from one in the choice collection of R. H. Jenkinson, Esq.
where it Was raised from seed; it is of hybrid origin, but
we cannot speak with certainty from what sorts it had been
produced. It makes a fine bushy plant, quite crowded with
leaves, and its flowers are produced in great abundance all
the Summer, thriving well in a rich light soil. Cuttings of
it strike root freely, if planted in pots, and plaeed in a sheltered
situation.
