The plant from which our drawing was taken, is one
that was raised from seed in the collection of L. Weltje,
Esq., of Hammersmith, who has raised many other very distinct
and fine sorts, and in whose collection they grow with
unusual luxuriance, and produce more and finer flowers by
their superior management.
The present plant is of hybrid origin, but we cannot
speak with certainty of its parents; it is of free growth, and
an abundant bloomer, and will continue to bloom through
the Summer; any sort of rich light soil will suit it very
well; and cuttings, planted in pots, and placed in a sheltered
situation, will soon strike root.
