This plant is also of hybrid origin, and was raised at
the Nursery of Mr. Colvill, from a seed of P. Smithii,
that had been fertilized by one of the light-flowered sorts
it makes a pretty variety, and is of easy culture, succeeding
well in any rich light soil, or a mixture of turfy loam,
peat, and sand, will suit it very w ell; cuttings strike root
readily, planted in pots in the same sort of soil, and placed
on a shelf in the Greenhouse.
