G. Lamberti, caule diffuso geniculato-ramoso; ramis
elongatis pilosis, foliis oppositis cordatis quinquelobis
utrinque pilosis mollibus; lobis cuneatis incisis obtuse
dentatis divaricatis, stipulis lanceolatis acutis concavis
membranaceis, pedunculis bifloris, Calycibus mucrona-
tis, petalis magnis rotundato ovatis concavis venosis.

Perennial. Herbaceous. Stems several from the
same root, more or less branched, forked, swollen and bent
at the joints, thickly clothed with soft woolly hairs, more
or less of a red colour, not strong enough to support their
own weight without support, but trailing on the ground, or
supporting themselves by the nearest plant or branch within
their reach : branches spreading, ascending, thickly clothed
with unequal woolly hairs. Leaves cordate, or kidney
shaped, deeply 5-lobed, clothed on both sides with soft
woolly hairs, which makes it feel very soft to the touch,
strongly ribbed and reticulately veined, spotted with obsolete
yellowish spots, similar to G. maculatum: lobes
broadly wedge-shaped, spreading. Petioles nearly cylindrical
on the upper leaves, on the lower ones flattened on
the upper side, thickly clothed with unequal woolly hairs-. Stipules membranaceous, lanceolate, acute, concave, hairy,
terminated in a long slender point. Peduncles cylindrical,
rather slender, two-flowered, also clothed with woolly hairs. Involucre of four lanceolate, taper-pointed^ hairy, membranaceous
bractes. Pedicles double the length of the
flower, very unequally hairy. Calyon of 5 sepals, which
are oblongly lanceolate, strongly 5-nerved at the back, with
