Our drawing of this plant was taken in May last, from
a plant at the Nursery of Mr. Dennis; it is of hybrid origin,
and is intermediate between P. macranthon and one of the
smaller growing sorts, making a fine bushy plant, and producing
an abundance of bloom ; it is also very hardy, thriving
well in a common Greenhouse, or the window of a light
airy room, as it only needs protection from frost; it thrives
well in any rich light soil; and young cuttings root freely,
planted in pots in the same sort of soil, and placed in a
shady situation.
