H. Leeana,. acaulis, foliis glabris pinnatifidis: segmentis
pinnatifido-incisis acutis, petiolis pubescentibus, stipulis
linearibus acutis membranaceis petiolo adhaerentibus,
umbella composite, pluriflora, petalis superioribus obo-
vatis retusis, calycibus patentibus apice barbatis, tubo
nectarifero calyce sesquilongiore.

Moot tuberous, stemless. Leaves smooth when old,
but slightly pubescent whilst young, of a bright glossy green,
pinnatifid; segments irregular, opposite, alternate or clustered,
very narrow at the base, and widening upwards with
acute ppints, pinnatifid or deeply jagged, or sometimes entire,
linear, channelled on the upper side, and keeled a little
underneath, the under side the most pubescent. Petioles
very slender, flattened a little on the upper side and convex
on the lower, the upper side thickly clothed with short
white hairs, the under side less hairy. Stipules small,
membranaceous,Umbels linear,5 joined 6 to the base of the petioles.Scapes
compound, or or several-flowered. thickly clothed with short downy hairs, producing a leaf of
two at the base of the peduncles,Involucre also two or three linear
taper-pointed fringed bractes. of 6 or 7 subu-
lately linear fringed bractes, bearded at the points with a
tuft of long spreading white hairs. Calyx 5-cleftf segments
spreading, linearly lanceolate, acute, bearded at the points,
tube the margins membranaceous and fringed. Nectariferous short, sessile, bent a little forward, clothed with short
tals downy 5, hairs, about half as long again as the calyx. Pe
