1. C y c l e m y s d h o r (Gray).

Western-Nias, 2 young specimens.
The larger one measures 98 m .m ., the smaller one57 m.m.
The former has a brown carapace with ra th e r indistinct d arker
radiating lines on the borders of the shields. The plastron is
of a lighter brown with very distinct dark brown radiating
lines The small specimen is brown with dark variegations
on the marginals and a black streak along the keel anteriorly.
Its plastron is yellowish with blackish longitudinal spots.
Both have yellowish lines along the neck, broad transverse
scales on the front p a rt of the arm and the lower side of
the tail with a double series of enlarged scales.
Distribution. N. In d ia , B u rm a , Siam, Cambodja, Malacca,
Nias, Sipora, Suma tra, N a tu n a , Borneo, Java , Philippines.
This species was not yet known from Nias.
2. C y c l e m y s a m b o i n e n s i s (Daud.).

Nias, 1 young specimen.
Its carapace measures 61 m.m. and shows only a single
keel; it is of a blackish colour. The plastron is yellow with
black spots on the g u la r, pectoral and anal shields at their
sutures; the pectoral and abdominal shields have a black
spot towards their suture with the marginals; the humeral
shields have a black line near the suture with the pectorals and
the femoral shields nea r the suture with the anals. Each
marginal with a black spot towards the outer edge.

N a tu n a , B o rn eo , Celebes, H a lm ah e ra , B a tjan , C e ram , Ambon.
This species was not yet known from Nias.

3. G y m n o d a c t y l u s m a r m o r a t u s (Kuhl).

Lolowua, 2 specimens, $.
Nias, 1 specimen, $.
The three specimens are females and show the common
grey-brown coloration of that species with dark brown wavy
o r M-shaped cross-bands on the back. Head with darker
markings.
Distribution. Malacca, Nias, Engano, Suma tra, Java ,
Christmas Island, Lombok, Borneo, Celebes, Morotai, Ceram,
liei Islands, Aru Islands, New Guinea.
This species was not yet known from Nias.
4. G o n a l o d e s k a n d i a m i s (Kel.).

Lolowua, 2 specimens, j and $.
Both the specimens, a male and a female, have all the
ventral scales keeled, belonging to the tropidogaster form,
indicated by Boulenger. The male has four praeanal and on
each side three femoral pores.
Distribution. S. In d ia , Ceylon, Nias, Sipora, Engano.
Formerly only known from the Indian continent and Ceylon,
this species is later on recorded from the small islands, lying
in a long line west of Sumatra: in 1892 from E n g an o , in 1895
from Sipora, one of the Mentawei Islands, and in 1910 from Nias.
