The wind being moderated, we proceeded again at half paft two in
the aftemooir, and fteering Weft by North among the iflands, made a
courfe o f eighteen miles. We ehcamped at eight o’clock on a fmall
iiland, and fince eight in the morning had hot palled any ice. Though
the weather was far from being warm, we were tormented, and our reft
interrupted, by the hoft o f mufquitoes that accompanied us.
