The present plant is of hybrid origin, and was
raised from seed at the Nursery of Mrs. More, Kmg s-
road, Chelsea, where our drawing was made last Summer
; it is of strong growth; and when covered with its
large handsome flowers, it makes a fine appearance,
thriving well in a strong rich soil, and producing abundance
of its showy flowers all the Summer; it is also
very hardy, requiring nothing but to be protected from
frost; so that it will succeed well in a common Greenhouse,
or the window of a light room in Winter, watering
it only when quite dry. Cuttings, planted in pots,
in Spring or Summer, and placed in a shady situation,
will soon strike root.
