base, 7 bearing anthers. Germen and aristae villous.
Style red, very hairy. Stigmas 5, red, reflexed.
Our drawing of this handsome plant was taken at
the collection of Robert H. Jenkinson, Esq. who received
it from the Countess of Scarborough, in whose
collection it had been raised from seeds, and it is
named in compliment to her. We suspect it to be of
hybrid origiil, and it appears to be intermediate be-,
tween P. obtusilobum and one of the citron-scented
kinds. It begins flowering early in spring, and continues
to bloom in succession all through the summer ;
it has also a pleasant lemon-like scent. It thrives well
in a mixture of turfy loam and peat, and cuttings root
freely planted in pots and placed on a shelf in the
greenhouse.
