King’s Road, Chelsea, where our drawing was taken.
We cannot ascertain its parents at present, as it is very
distinct from any with which we are acquainted. It is
a very desirable plant, as it is covered with flowers all
the summer, and, if kept cut back a little, it will
bloom till late in autumn. It is also very hardy, requiring
only a common greenhouse or warm room to
preserve it through the winter. It grows freely in a
mixture of loam and peat, or any light vegetable soil;
and cuttings strike root readily, if planted in pots, and
placed in a sheltered situation.
