ffled, smooth, somewhat glaucous. Leaves

derneath striated with numerous longitudinal lines, deep y

ticularlv underneath. Spike terminal, many-flowered, from
5 to 7 inches in length. Bractes leaf-like, J ® /
nearly twice the length of the flowers ; upper ones smaller,

thin texture and more or less channelled on the upper side.
Flowers of a greenish white, elegantly jagged. Perianthium
rinffent smooth ; upper leaflet short, ovate, obtuse, concave
