tæ planiusculæ radiculâ vix longiores.— Herbæ pleì-àmque perennes, rarissime
annual, nunc caule brevissimo vel subterraneo, unde acaules dictoe, nunc
caulescentes vel suffrutices p a rv i; folia alterna marcescentia ; pedunculi
solitarii axillares uuiflori, 2-bracteolati non articulati, apice reflexi ; flores
cernui ; folia seminaba oblonga ovatave, petiolata ; primordialia apposita,

Ferennial, herbaceous, producing numerous stems from
the base and long stolones that run along the surface of the
ground and throw up shoots at some distance. Leaves kidney
shaped, or some inclining to cordate, rounded at the
H 2
