Annual. Stems short, tufted, decumbent, branching
in all directions, flexuose, slightly angular, and clothed
with short white hairs. Leaves opposite, obovate, or
sometimes oblong, attenuated to the base, deeply but
distantly toothed, rugose, minutely punctate, glossy;
nerves and margins slightly hairy. Racemes terminal,
elongated, many flowered. Flowers distant, spreading.
Bractes small, 1 on each pedicle, a little above the
base, lanceolate, taper-pointed, keeled. Pedicles flattened,
slightly pubescent, a little longer than the calyx.
