Perennial. Stems several from the same root, erect,
branching, when in flower from 3 to 4 feet high ;
branches erect, smooth, furrowed. Leaves ternate,
petiolate, smooth, glaucous :■ leaflets lanceolately-obo-
vate, bluntish, about 3 inches long, and scarcely
1 broad. Petiole about half an inch long, channelled
on the upper side, and rounded on the lower. Stipules
lanceolate, taper-pointed, 3 times longer than the petiole.
