This last year tïxé Punjun. Irtimree" having leftKoumboum on his route to '
-me, I sent to him; a sècond time, the grandees of my presence, Our-töu-ksoöU
and Ta-fbu, accompanied by Ra-koo, a Lama of the rank of Hou-touk-too*’.
To these three deputies I committed one of my travelling chairs, one of my
camp tents, the small flags, and other tokens of distinction proper to create
respect, with which he was to be complimented on my behalf.
,L They met him. at the town of Houhou, and presented to him w|iat they
-Were commissioned with, after having; given; him, as before, a feast of.
ceremony.
When I learned that he was no mo.re; than a few days journey from the
frontiers, I dispatched to meet him the_sixth Ague, who is now the eldest of

After his departure from the Miao .of Taihan, the Punjun Irtinneerrepaired
to Tolonor, where he jvaited some time in order; to receive, all 1;.designed to
-.send him. I deputed, for the purpose of saluting him, those, of the princes
•of the blood,', who have the title Khayv-n, and guards of my person. .They
were accompanied by Fenchen and Tchilouu; officers of rank, and by the
Lamas. Avouang, Patchour, andRamtqhap. They presented to him in my

He Visited the Miao's; or temples, of'these different places, and was every
where received with distinguished honours. He officiated in persoLi,,at the

On thé thnxkdayof the tenth moon, I gave him a grandentertainment in
* Teshoo Loom boo, llie residence of Teshoo Lama.
