. With* the ipecxmens ,!of Lacerte, feveral Eggs were
received’. They Were o f ah oval fhape, and of a livid brown
colour, ,,whiti£h within arid.Wt much larger than peale. On.
opening them the' young Lizards ‘were extracted, perfectly
formed, and^ in all refpedts refembling the Scincoid Lizard,
except that the tail was longer in proportion. See Plate o £
the Skinc-formed Lizard, Fig. 2, 3, and 4, which are given
o f the natural fize. Fig. 1. represents the Eggs in the proportion
they bear to the adult fpecimen.
