linear. Antherce with 2 bristles at the base.

much branched, hairy. Flowers hemispherical, with
a very short radius.

z ig z a g , angula r, h a iry , and le a fy . L ea v e s s ligh tly em b ra c in g
the stem, lanceolate or o b lon g , w a ved, recurved, entire or v ery
s ligh t ly toothed, hairy on b o th sides. Flow er s solitary at th e
end o f each bran ch , so on overtopped b y othe r branche s, e re ct,
hemispherica l, o f a dull pale y e llow . C a ly x o f num erou s,
linear, nea rly equal, hairy scales. Florets o f th e radius m o s tly
n umerou s, but v ery short, re a ch ing v ery little be yond th e
