Kauifuss, n o t observing that Mr. Brown had already described an Asp len ium under the name
o f amnuaturn, had given that appellation to a very different species from Brazil. The present
plant is very unlike any that we are acquainted with, and tcmarkable in many o f the specimens for
the lower part o f th e frond b e in g pinnated, the middle pinnatifid, aud the extremity quite entire,
much attenuated, and often rooting.
