A very slight comparison of this plant with the Woodsia Perinniana (Tab. 68.) of this work, will
suffice to show how closely the two Ferns arc allied. In regard to genus, the involucre has precisely
the same structure in both : but in their fronds wc find a difference, particularly in the primary
pinnæ, which in W . Perinniana arc almost deltoid, while here they are linear-oblong; and in
the pinnules, which in the former are pinnatifid, in the latter only toothed at the margin.
