Our figure o f this plant was made from specimens communicated by Prof. Kaulfuss : but,
excep t in the contracted and cordate extremity o f the frond, there is scarcely a difference between
it and A . bipinnatus, and it is p ossible that it may be an accidental variety ; if it be so , the specific
name o f Kaulfuss has still the claim o f priority.
