* Most authors, and even Linnæus himself, in his Flora Succica, have adopted the name lamarisdfolia. Tamansct,
however, is the one taken up in the Systema iVafuriH and Species Plantarum, Cot which reason, as well as because
it appears to me more applicable than lamarisci/olia, 1 have thought proper to retain it.
