Frons iu nostris pedalis, primo in tu ita Sp. medium Ag. re fe ren s, sed
accuratius inspecta diversissima. Pinnæ inferipres semiunciam vix dista

sejunctæ, sæpe alternæ 'et valde elongatæ, 3 -4 - p o llic a r e s , ita u t ramus
quisque flagello pinnularum loriformium terminetur. Pinnæ pmnulæ-

superiori evidenter compressæ. Spinulæ nullæ. Substantia quam in cæ -

Planta mhil omnino Confervoideum offert; quin immo in te r Desmarestias

Plures characteres cum Desm. chordali communes offert. Vix tamen
utramque identicam crediderim. Desm. chordalis e st magis compressa,
p lanta major, pinnulis re sp ec ta magnitudinis tenuioribus; pinnæ et p ræ cipue
pinnulæ inferiores sunt basi a tte n u a tæ , ita u t breviores quoddammodo
formam lanceolato-linearem offerant. In Desm. Menziesii vero su n t
pinnæ pinnulæque a basi crassiore teretiuscula mox compressæ, dein li-
