The fail about Macarlka produces abundance o f oil and wine,
befides almonds, mulberry trees, honey and fome corn. The
nature o f the ground is light, and gravelly, and does nc* want
moifture, as the other littoral parts o f Dalmatia generally do.
I t is eafy to fee that the exterior fuperficies has been formed by
fmall torrents j and thefe torrents have hollowed their beds in
the fame fubllances that were triturated by them o f old A
rivulet called Vrulak runs through the town, but its water is
