Sori subglobosi apici venulæ superioris insidentes. Indusium reniforme sinu sub-
centrali affixum. Sporangia parva longe pedicellata, pedicellis persistentibus
pulvinulum efficientibus Rhizoma repens. F rondes sparsoe, tenuiter coriaceoe,
simpliciter pinnatim divisæ. Pin næ revera cum rachide articulatoe et fa c ile deciduæ.
Venæ pinnatæ, densissimæ, internæ, apice punctiformi longe a margine fro n d is ter-
minatæ, bifurcatæ, venula superiori breviari sorifera ab ima basi venæ exoriens.
Sori margine fro n d is pinnarum approximati Species tropicæ et extratropicæ
Americanæ, Indicoe, Novo-HoUandicoe, Sfc.; jam stériles venis venulisque puncto
opaco terminatis et pinnis deciduis dignoscendæ. Presi.

An extremely natural and well-marked Genus, clearly defined by Schott and Presl, and
comprising about 20 species, nearly allied in general habit.
