Filices intratropicoe, Indicoe. Rhizoma repens, filiforme. Frondes sparsoe,
coriaceæ, simplices, stériles, in unica specie (D . piloselloidi) subsessiles, late lanceolate,
obtusoe, in altera specie (D . spatliiilato) stipitatæ, elliptico-lanceolatce,
utrinque acute, fertiles stipitatæ, lineari-spatkulate. Venæ internee, tenuissimæ,
ramosissimoe. Venulæ primariæ in maculas hexagonoideas subrotundas anastomosantes,
secundariæ liberoe, obtusoe, simplices, ramosoeve, recte hamatoeve. Presl.

Our plant is from Nepal. It differs, in the situation of the sori, from the two hitherto
known species {D. pUoselloides and D. spcttlmlatum), in the lines of fructification being .at
a distance from the margin, in the middle as it were, between tiiat and the costa. Among
the sporangia are found peltate scales, not tlie stellated liairs described by Presl.

e t superiorem, obtegens.— Filices intratropicoe, pleræque Americanæ.
Rhizoma repens. Frondes sparsæ, herbaceoe, dissimiles, pinnatæ, bi-tripinnatoe ;
pinnæ laciniæve fe rtiles anguste, breves, venis tenuissimis instructoe. Venæ pinnatæ,
internoe, tenues, simplices, apice obtuso libero desinentes, paginam superiorem frondis
sterilis lineantes, infimæ in sinus dentium aut laciniarum excurrentes. Presl.

Nine species are enumerated by Presl as belonging to this Genus the present is the
original species of Humboldt and Bonpland.
