Scarcely distinct as a Genus, as Mr Smith well observes, from Drynaria, Bory. The
fertile segments are indeed singularly contracted and changed, and the venules in them, besides
being very obscure, are few in each lobe; nor do I find the sori placed on the confluence
oi several venules as described by Smith, hut of two at most, as described by Schott,
and sometimes even of one, as described by Presl.
