A genus, according to Presi, of three species, one a native of the Cape of Good Hope,
C.pterddes, (Cheilanthes, Su:) one of Brazil, C. pinnata, and onr present spec.es from
Buenos Ayres. I t is not easy in the advanced state of the frnctificat.on of our plant to see
the geminate nature of the sorus. The indnsium has its origin at some little distance from
the margin, and is notched or two-lobed.

The habit of this genus is, for the most part, peculiar, hut the sorus «
continuous and slender as to bear a great resemblance to that ot Pteris. The specie a
