I t appears to me that the C. Gaudichaudii, from the Ladrones, is not in reality different
from the C. thalictroides, which has a very extensive range in the East Indies and
adjacent islands. Another species is described from Guiana, the C. Eichardii, Brongn.;—
but may not that be the Parkeria pteridioides of Hook, et Grev. Ic. Fil. t. 97 ? an undoubted
native of Guiana, and which forms another genus, distinguished in this curious little group
of aquatic Ferns by the obsolete annulus of the sporangium.
