Seed veffels firft appear in round dots difperfed on the back of the lobes,
v/hich are covered with brown hairs ; after the feed veffels arc burft, and
the feeds difchargcd, the whole under fide of the lobe appears covered

Hairy Acrofticf u n was firft found to grow near the top of Snowdon,
jthchigheft mountain in Wales, by Dr. Lhwyd, who difcovered it mowing
horizontally from the chinks of the rocks on Clogmjny Garnedh.
Dr. Richardfon found it on Clogwyii y Garnedh, near the top, on the
fide facing the north-weft, diredly above the lower lake. Mr. Hudfon faw
Jit in the fame place. My figure was taken from a fine fpecimen gathered
