that genus; and, in his Flora of British India V, 785, ho stated that, should an esamination of liviag
flowers prove the lip to be mobile, Tyloslylis ought to be rsinstatod as a gemis, Having satisfied '
ourselves that the lip is mobile, we aceoidingly adopt for the plant the name suggested for it by
him (Ann. Bot. Gard. Cale. V, 22).

T h e colour of the inner surfaces of the sepals, petals and of the column is ochraceousyollow,
their outer siu-faces being dull white. The foot of the column is of a dark leaden
colour and the lip has a dark purplish-brown patch near its base.
