The outer surfaces of tbo sepals and petals are covered with whito wool; tlio innw
surfaces which are smooth ai-e of different shades of golden brown, tbe lip is dark browa,
the odges being palor; the column is green, and the foot tinged with orange.

Stoma creeping on trees, much branched, about -1 in. thick, the older with long brown
hiopid pubescence, the younger branches with shorter palor hairs. Leaves small, fleahy,
sessile, elliptic-ovate or obovate, covered with short whitish wool mixed with long hispid
liairs, length -35 to -7 in, breadth froar 'lo to -Sa in. Flowm •4 or -5 in. long, solitary,
on short pubescent sheathed peduncles; fioj-al Iract lanceolate, shorter than the stalked
ovary. Sepals pubesccnt externally, unequal; the dorsal small, erect, elliptic; the lateral
puir large, broadly triangular, concave. Petals oblong, blunt. Lip large, cuneately
oblong, eiliolate, the base narrowed, tlie side lobes very shallow; the terminal half
deflexed its apex broad, slightly emarginate and minutely erose. Jl/ewizore broad. Column
short, the foot long, slightly curved. Anther conical, its lip broad and truncate.

The flowers are green slightly flushed with yellow, and at the base of the lip
there is a largo patch of browr.ish-purple.

Stem cylindric, 10 to 12 in. long, leafy, pendulous, rufous-hispid. Leauei numerous,
coriaceous, narrowly lanccolate, acuminate, sparsely rusty-pubescent, 2'5 to 4 in. long,
and about '5 in. broad, often with superficial concretions when dry. Racemea leaf-opposed,
about -75 in. long, bearing three to six flowers about -3 in. in length; floral Iract large,
cordate, acute, hispid, exceeding tho sessile ovary. Sepals sub-equal, ovate-lanceolate, subacute,
spreading, hispid externally. Petals narrower than the sepals, spreading, sparsely
hispid. Lip spathulate, not lobed, tho edges slightly upturned, the posterior half scabrid,
the anterior half thickened, smooth except for a small elongate callus near tho apex.
Column rather long, narrowed toward.^ the short si^'moidly curved foot. Anlher with

Stem thick, fleahy, furrowed, constricted and leaf-bearing at the nodes. Leaves
several, coriaceous, sessile. Flowers small, in extra-axillary or axillary racemes. Sepals
oblong-elliptic, pubescent, spreading. Petals smaller than tiie sepals. Lip articulated
to the very short foot of tho column, mobile, broad, not lobsd, much defiexed,
pubescent. Column very long, much curved forwai-ds and downwards, so that its apex
is brought opposite the middle of tho lip, bearing a large callus at its base and on
the very short foot. Pollinia 8, sub-equal, sub-orbicular, compressed, attached to four
elongated membi-anes. Distrib. Two species, one Indian and the other Malayan.
