This is closely allied to C. herincea, Lindl., but differs in tho manner noted
under tliat species. The sepals and petals of this are of a yellowish-green and the
lip while with an elongated patch of yellow along its middle. Tho flowers have
tho perfume of primroses.

in Ion.. Leases broadly or narrowly elliptic, shortly catrdate-ncuminntc, tapering to the
petioh,t°e base; length 0 to 10 in., breadth 2 to 4 in., petiole 2 to 6 in, long. Peduncle
from amongst the loaves and nearly twice as long, stent, with one or two lanceolato
acuminate trriets -0 to 1 in. long; the raeems lax, about 6 in. long, with about 16
flowers, glarreeus. Fhtvers I'O in. in expanse from base to apex; the Jloi-al hract
lanceolate, about halt as long as the ovary. S-fals elliptic, sub-acute, the dorsal one
ratlier obovate-elliptic, all spreading. Petals narrower tlian the sepals, snb-spathnkte,
reflesed. Lip longer than the sepals, attached to the whole length of the column, and
having a warted triangular callos at the base; side lobes narrowly oblong, directed
outwards; terminal lobe broadly triangular, deeply ematginato at the apex; tho lobules
diverging, oblong, falcate, the sinus wide with a small apiculas; the slender sigmoid

The sepals and petals are green, and tho lip pure while except its callus which
is yellow. Tho upper halves of the sepals and petals are sometimes ochreous yellow.

the lower halves being groon. This species is very closely allied to C. ciihrolema, Lindi.,
but differs from it in having fewer flowers in its raceme, somewhat larger floral braeti),
and a much longer spur. Moreover in this the a[ncal lobuli of the lip are entire, narrowly
oblong and diverging; while in 0. cithroleim those lobuli are crenate, broad, rounded,
and not diverging. The flowers of this aro hrodorous, while those of 0. ehlarmtha are
tlolightfuiiy fragrant.

Tho flowers .ai-e of an almost uniform violet tint, becomhig of a msty eolouiwhen
beginning to wither. The calli on the lip are yellow. Tho coloration, however
varies. In tho form which was named C. arsieohr the perianth is white, tho lip
bemg pm-plo, changing to yellow. In another form tho sepals are crhnson and the Hp
deep pm-ple. The, latter variety docs not, however, occm- m Sikkim.
