beaks.
Spec. Char. Barren shoots erect or procumbent.
Leaves 3-5-cleft, with a broad-ribbed but not
furrowed base, fringed with jointed hairs; lobes
elliptical or linear-lanceolate obtuse. Stem-
leaves few. Flowers I -5 or more. Calyx half
inferior, deeply divided into ovate obtuse sepals.
Petals oval or oblong, 3-nerved ; nerves simple,
