T h e back o f this Spider was o f a dark four-colour, and blackifh in
the.middle 5 the belly, was. very large, the upper fide was o f a yellowilh
hair-colour, inclining to a.;,fleifo colour, .finely marked, with white
marks edged with a dark hair-colour 5 ■ the legs were (potted, with black;
the feelers were (lender and alfo. (potted. It had eight eyes placed as
they are exprefled in the copper Plate. It was taken in a Purz-Pujh^
on Putney-Heath, the eleventh o f September. It had made itfelf a
thick web about the bignels o f the top o f ones thumb, in which it
lay, below which it had (pread a thin web (landing edge-ways for catching
its prey.

T h i s Spider was o f a greenifh muddy colour all over the back,
belly, legs, and feelers; the upper fide of the belly was finely marked
and (potted with white in a' very regular manner; the legs were
Ipotted and hairy 5 as were alfo the feelers, which were (lender. It
had eight eyes (landing as they are placed over the Spider in the
copper Plate. It was taken, on Putney-Heath, on the eleventh o f
September.
CXXXIII.
T hi s Spider is one o f the long legged kind. Its body was o f an
orange colour $ in the upper part of the body was a black (pot, in which
(lood the two eyes 5 in the lower part of the body next the tail were
two black (pots 5 the feelers were (lender ; the legs long, ana o f a blackifh
colour. It was taken, in Cain-lFood, in the beginning o f Augttji.
