It was taken in a Field, near Rotherhith, about the end o f Anguß folded
up in the L e a f o f a nettle with a ball of eggs o f a blueifh colour.

T h e back o f this Spider was black in the middle, and o f a dark
red or chefnut colour on the fides: The upper fide o f the belly was o f
a light afh colour with a black mark round the edge, and in the middle
it had fix black fpecks; the two uppermoft next the back were the
lmalleft, the under fide o f the belly was o f a light afh colour, with a
ftreak o f black in the middle; the legs were fpotted j the feelers /lender.
Its eyes could not be perceived, by reafon o f the fhining o f the upper
part o f its back, next the head. It was taken in a Garden, at Hackney,
about the latter end o f A u g tß .

T h E back o f this Spider was o f adark yellow, with a fhade o f chef-
nut colour in the middle; the belly was of a long -oval fhape, the
upperfide o f which was o f a light yellow and white, finely marked
with dark fhades o f brown and orange colour; the legs were o f a dark
colour, but finely fpotted; its feelers were flender. It had fix eyes
placed as in the copper Plate, over the head o f the Spider. It was
taken under the coping o f a f fa ll at Hackney, at the latter end o f
September.

T h e back o f this Spider was o f a flefb colour, with a fhadp o f dark
red in the middle; the upper fide o f the belly was o f a redifh colour,
with triangular marks o f white. Its legs were o f the fame colour o f the
middle
