T h e back and legs o f this Spider were o f a dark colour ; the upper
fide o f the belly white, and in the twiddle a dark mark, femething
like a fpleenwort leaf. The feelers' had fhining globular knobs at the
ends. It had fix eyes ftanding as they were placed over the head o f
the Spider in the Plate : Two o f its eyes were placed lo near together
that they feemed but one. This was taken in Cain-Wood, in the
middle o f its web, at the latter end o f June.

T h e back and liegs o f this Spider were o f a dark hair-colour;
the upperfide o f its belly white, finely marked with red and hair-
colour, and in the middle a row o f white marks, o f a longilh fijuare
felhion, but fo Imall as fcarcely to be exprelfed with a pencil. Its feelers.
were long and flender, If had fix eyes placed as they are exprelT-
ed in the drawing in the copper plate.. It was taken in Cain-Woodr
at the latter end o f July.
